Monsoons & Corns

We made a trip to Khadakwasala, near Pune. Enjoyed some corn and had good pics. I got a marine cover for my camera, hence clicked the pics in the rain. That's my wife behind me putting two corn horns on my head!

Shabree: The Maharashtrain Thali

This weekend my family came down to Pune, and we all decided to go in for a 'typical' Maharashtrain THALI* to Shabree a joint here. The ambience set up was pretty typical. You can see the waiter dressed like a typical peshwai waiter. There were 7 types of beetle nut crackers. The mouth freshners were presented in a typical 'sandookchi'. Over all the ambience was amazing.

An ofcourse the food... That too was typical... YUMMY!!!

*For those who don't know what a thali is, it's a typical cruizine of a regional place, with 3-4 types of vegetable 'sabzi' 1-2 types of 'dal' (pulses). Sweets (yummy!) and the typical chapati/roti/bhakari/bread.

Stairway to heaven...

This one has come out a bit errie.. It's actually the building terrace door. We were on the terrace and the staircase lights were peeping through the gap...

This weed was growing on the roots of a dead uprooted tree...
